Stupid is as stupid does, at least when it comes to our "legislative" non-body.

New Albany City Council vote leaves zoning gap, by Eric Scott Campbell, (News and Tribune):

In opposing a multifaceted development proposal for an untamed parcel of the city’s fringe area, the New Albany City Council may have unintentionally loosened restrictions on what can be built there.

It's the Steve Price dictum: Underachievement through ignorance.

Think it will ever change, and New Albany might value intelligence rather than the discount grocer's mantra?

I'm not holding my breath.

Dear Roger,
As as other onlookers, at the city council meeting. were puzzled over the vote.

No reason was given for the rejection of the fringe area bill. Even City Attorney Shane Gibson asked why, so he could prepare a response dto the City Plan commission, and no answer was forth coming.

Well, only the shadow know.

Oddly, I receive explanations from people who wish to remain anonymous, but since I believe that we should all be who we are, I can't publish them.

Suffice to say that there are those in our fair town who have all the answers. Some day, perhaps they'll emerge from the shadows and let the rest of us know.
